Interestingly the death of the CEO in New York seems to have made people open their eyes.
Whilst I don't condone the assassinations of CEO's who work for large health corporations, and would rather see them criminally liable for the countless deaths their actions have caused due to their company policy, I can't help but be fascinated at the reaction that it has garnered across the United States, and even the world.
Particularly, the fact that people are starting to turn against those traditional Conservative voices that so many people love. In particular Ben Shapiro.
Tumblr media
Now this is not the only comment under his recent video, but it's the one that succinctly points out what these people are all about. Hatred. And the death of the CEO seems to have woken some people up to that fact.
Do I think it's going to change anything? Probably not right now. But maybe it's the start of people finally waking up and thinking about what they read on the internet before going straight to hatred mode.
Only time will tell.
Edited to add a few more screengrabs.

“Darling,”
You should have known he was too good to be true. He was the perfect boyfriend, handsome, funny, caring, and he had an accent -A BRITISH ACCENT. He was just too perfect, he had to have a flaw though it didn’t have to be such a big one. I mean you could get over the vampire thing if anything it was kinda a plus I mean everyone goes through a vampire phase. Even the fact he’s related to Klaus, wasn’t a complete deal breaker. No, what you couldn't get over is the fact he beat Jeremy up with a bat and nearly pummeled the boy to death. You can still remember the call you got from elena she was in tears begging you to come back to mystic falls.
You had decided to go along with Jeremy when Elena sent him away just wanting to have a normal life with no drama. Though you unknowingly had fallen smack dab in the middle.
You were packing up your room, desperate to get back home and comfort your friend. A knock on your door has you freezing. You were hoping it was anyone but Kol, you had no desire to see him. After that call with Elena you never even wanted to hear his name again. You felt like such a fool, you were just a pawn, a means to mess with Elena.
“Darling would you open the door?”, you don’t move hoping that your silence will make him leave. “I suppose you heard about the Jeremy thing but it was nothing personal. Now open the door before I kick it in” you thought the threat over, eventually deciding to stand you don’t know how you would explain a kicked in door.
You kept your face neutral as you opened the door, Kol on the other hand wore a smirk. “I do hope your not here to beat me with a bat”, in truth you should be scared but you just couldn’t bring yourself to be. No, you're already feeling too much to be scared of him.
“Darling,” he reached out, going to stroke your cheek, you quickly dodge. It didn’t seem to upset him though. “Even when you're mad I find you completely irresistible.” You tried your best not to be affected by his words. Yet you still found your heart quickening, in your defense it was only a short while ago that this man was your boyfriend. It was only fitting that there was residual feelings even if you wished there weren't. “Let me make it up to you” he’s reaching for you once more, this time however he moves too fast for you to react. His lips smashing against yours in a heart aching kiss.
“Kol” you mumble against his lips. Your arms rest on his chest your not sure if you wish to push him away or pull him closer.
“I love it when you say my name” he groans as he moves his lips against your neck. You shouldn’t let this continue.
“Kol we shouldn’t-I shouldn’t” you finally managed to push him away. Or at least get him to stop kissing you. He still had you held close against her.
“I don’t want this to get between us, I care for you shouldn’t that be all that matters?” His words gave you pause. You wish it was that easy but the ‘this’ he’s talking about is him beating up your friend's brother. You couldn’t just look past that. “If you can overlook your friends' actions towards my family, then why can’t you look over mine towards theirs?”. His question had you pausing. When he said it like that you realized just how hypocritical you had been.
When it came to your friends you always excused their actions, even the most questionable ones, because they only did what they had to. So if you can excuse their actions maybe you could forgive Kols. “I’m not saying I condone your actions because I don’t but-” you're not even able to finish your sentence before Kol is kissing you. This time you don’t push him away.
For now you just want to focus on the warm feeling he makes erupt in your chest. Not on how your friends are bound to react to your choice in men, but what can you do your in love. Even if he may be a criminal in their minds to you he’s just your Love.

RANPO EDOGAWA, the greatest detective in the world, one who could solve a case in under 3 seconds, your annoying and childlike coworker, the one who has no ability, is currently following you around like a lost child. this has been going on for—at least, 4 minutes max—just him trailing a few centimeters behind as you continue to walk to your destination. in all fairness, when he found out you were going to the grocery store, he immediately jumped into the conversation and decided by himself that he's going to join you during your trip.
"areee weeeee there yet? i don't remember the journey to the store being this long!" a loud whine comes out of ranpo's mouth, worsening your mood as you hear his whiny voice, the kind you'd hear from a 6-year-old child who is simply too impatient to wait for their turn. from your peripheral vision, you could see several people looking at the two of you, ranging from confusion to judgmental stares. his shoulders are down, making him have a slouched body posture as he walks behind you in a more lazier manner than you, who is so close to speed stomping and leaving him behind.
"are we ther- hey! wait up!"
scratch that last thought, you're going to have a pleasant trip to the grocery store and you're going to leave him behind if that's what it takes to have peace of mind.
(fortunately for him, you didn't. your dislike for attention proves to be something he could use to his advantage, seeing how you crumbled under the feeling of many eyes turned towards you two when he whined and cried in the middle of the sidewalk, making a scene in broad daylight, taking his wrist in your grip, and dragging him along to your destination, making him match your speedy pace. he'll definitely keep this in mind for future use.)
the office was quiet, and you were alone in the room—switching between writing and reading a bunch of papers piled up near where you're sitting. despite having gone through just a few pieces of paper, the weight on your shoulders and back has gotten rather heavy, like you didn't stretch your limbs beforehand after waking up from your 5-hour rest. the silence was odd, to say the least, not that it wasn't unwelcome; it just made you curious about what your co-workers were up to, which made them not present in the office today. maybe yosano is out shopping, maybe kunikida and dazai were out chasing down criminals, and whatnot, maybe atsushi is helping out to solve a case with... him. the oh so great detective, fucking ranpo.
as much as he preached about how great he is and how everyone else in the detective agency respects and admires him, you were quite indifferent towards him in general. you aren't sure what everyone sees in him or what makes him so interesting that he's able to get this much attention—in other words, he's just plain boring in your eyes. actually, scratch that; he's more than boring; he's an absolute brat. he's whiny, always munching on his snacks so loudly, refusing to do work or cases sometimes, and acting like his super deduction is an ability. what's even worse is that he seems so determined to bother you constantly, every chance he gets. rarely are you left alone and left to breathe from the overwhelming detective—even if you are given a moment of peace, he'd come running back acting like an even bigger headache for you.
"(nameeeeeee)!" filling up the room with his shout, he pushed open the door with such force that it banged so loudly that the noise echoed to the other side. you could feel his attention on your back as silence once again filled the room. in the most coincidental (and worst) timing, the headache you were talking shit in your head comes into the office—a dreadful pit building up in your stomach as you mentally pray in your head for whatever ranpo is going to put you through this time. you could hear the skip in his footsteps. every step he takes, more sweat starts rolling down your cheeks as you close your eyes and imagine a life without ranpo, without the suffocation of love and attention he gives you, without the anxious thoughts of being followed on your way home (you have major suspicions that it's ranpo but have nothing solid to prove it's him), without him blackmailing you into compliance, without-
dragging you out of your inner thoughts, the headache makes impactful contact with your back. "did you miss me? because i really missed you!" he says in a cheerful tone, wrapping his arms around your shoulders in a tight grip and rubbing his cheeks against yours like someone would greet their lover when they miss them so much (he's doing it on purpose to make you uncomfortable, you think). to further prove your point, he smashes his lips against your cheek, not once, not twice, but multiple times in the same and adjacent areas of your cheek. if this had happened to you several months ago, the simple act of him trying to wrap his arms around your shoulders would make you go away from him as fast and as far as possible—even more so if he tried to kiss you, your water bills would skyrocket through the roof for how much time you would spend in the bathroom trying to scrub away the kiss on your cheek.
"no i didn't, actually" having gotten used to his (non-consensual) affection towards you, his actions do not faze you; on the outside, that is, there still remains that pit of disgust you used to have all those months ago. those urges to swat his body away from yours to give yourself some space are still there, yet you do nothing to act on any of them. you simply decide to indulge in whatever antics he has up his sleeves this time for the next few hours of your day—not that you had a choice, anyway.
(several times you've expressed discomfort at the physical touches he gives you during work hours, and several times he intentionally ignores it for his own benefit. the one time he went overboard was when he made himself comfortable on your lap, handed you several sweet snacks you assumed he got from his secret stash, and forced you to hand-feed him until he was satisfied. to say this stunt of his hindered your productivity would be an understatement. you were way behind your planned schedule by the time you finished hand-feeding him all the sweet snacks.
just as you were about to ask him to get off, he suddenly grabbed your wrist, saying something about "there's still some crumbs left!" which confused the fuck out of you until you felt the wet sensation of a tongue licking your fingers. the horrors expressed on your face seemed to further encourage the amused ranpo, as he started sucking on your fingers too! neither of you two brought up that incident again, though you're glad he hasn't done this again; you aren't sure how well you were going to handle the next one.)
"i guess you could say smart men are my type," you say rather subconsciously without any thought or care of your co-workers' reaction to your answer, instead putting all your focus on your computer screen and continuing to type away as you hear several gasps and 'no way's from your left side.
"(name), are you.. sure smart men are your type?" there was hesitation in their voice, disbelief even—like they didn't believe you the first time. "uhh.. yeah? i didn't really give much thought, but intelligence is hot, i guess," you said once again, answering in the same manner you did the first time. you weren't sure what they were trying to get out of this conversation, but if you had to guess, most likely they're attempting to set you up on a blind date. "..alright, if you say so.." they say, ultimately ending the conversation and switching topics to avoid making the awkwardness linger in the atmosphere.
(little did you and your co-workers know, the great detective was listening in on the whole conversation. hearing every word that came out of your mouth, to say he stumbled upon your little talk on accident would be a lie—he doesn't go to such lengths without a reason. to say he's surprised by your type of men like your co-workers were would be another lie, but he's quite puzzled. if smart men are your type, why do you always seem to give the expression that you're disgusted by him? no matter, as a detective, it's his job to uncover every bit of mystery and solve for all the missing pieces.)
stepping out of the building, bidding farewell to your co-workers, and parting ways as you walk to your house, taking extra caution by putting your keys between your fingers in case you were to be stalked by someone, especially a certain someone you've been trying to avoid all day long...
"(naaameeeee)!!" and speak of the devil; he shows up to come and ruin your day just when you're about to go home—how fun. you let out a tired sigh and turned around to see ranpo running towards you at full speed. the sight set off alarm bells in your head, so on impulse, you tried to get out of his way and hoped he ran too fast that he ended up hitting a light pole straight in the face. yet it seems this day of yours wouldn't be so lucky, because suddenly he grabs your shirt, pulls you a little lower to his height, and then kisses you on the lips.
your eyes widen in shock, momentarily stunned for a second, before you feel your instincts kick in and roughly push him away.
"ranpo, what the fuc-!?"
suddenly you feel an unexpected impact hitting your chest, emitting a surprising noise from your mouth, making you cut off mid-sentence. ranpo buries his face underneath your chin, rubbing against your skin with his cheek like it's a pillow—opening your mouth. you tried to protest once more against him, but nothing came out. the sudden feeling of a pair of arms wrap around your torso and your arms holding you in a tight grip, sending the message that he doesn't want to let you go. after what felt like eternity to you, he looks up and shows you the poutiest expression you've ever seen him make.
"no! i'm not going anywhere, and neither are you! we're stuck together now; i'll make sure of it!"

I'm prolly gonna get anon hate or whatever for this and while I don't want to fill more in the drama, this is something that can be applied in outlast characters in general
Is Franco a victim? Yes. Is Franco also an abuser? Yes. He's both. This is what some people fail to realize.
The main outlast point is that a victim can turn into an abuser, especially in the hands of evil corporations that are willing to make them worse for the sake of money. Franco didn't know any better? That can be true because he grew up in a criminal family. BUT ALSO, were his crimes all justified? Absolutely not. There is no justification for his actions, especially his misogynism. And this is an example of "An abused victim grows into an abuser". He's basically repeating the neverending cycle of the Barbi family; being a criminal. You can understand he didn't know how to not be a criminal, but at the same time, you can't justify it.
Now, let's talk about "He's just a fictional character" because this statement is ironic if you are pro-fiction, but at the same time harassing a real person for the sake of a fictional character. While it's true that all outlast characters are not real, the way you see their action reflects on your moral compass.
This is what I have been saying, simping on the child-abuser ventriloquist, a man-baby killer mafia, or a racist misogynist cop does not reflect your moral compass because they are not real, and most of the time the simping was thanks to their design and charm. HOWEVER, condoning their behavior does reflect your moral compass. You are not supposed to justify or allow their behavior. This is what liking a fictional character privilege has. Unlike a real person, you can still like them without condoning their behavior. This is why liking fictional killers is okay, but liking real killers is a big no-no.
In the end, every outlast villain is problematic on their own. And the majority of them are victims. But this does not excuse their crimes, because while their crimes are in the game, it does show how you see it in real life.

Okay nobody asked but that's my opinion on this video (yeah I watched the whole thing, because I'm not the type to judge something before I know what it is about,so....yeah)
Tumblr media
Okay so she bring up a LOT of topics, let's talk about some of them.
1 Groupies-and yes since 1970 murders and a lot of other criminals start to get TV and woman's attention and get they so called "groupies",most famous ones being Richard Ramirez ones, who even show up for couple interviews on TV the most famous one being Doreen(his wife until his death by cancer),so yeah I agree Dylan and Eric have a couple of groupies,my personal definition of they "groupies" would be the people who condone their actions, people who just see them like a character and a book, most of us are cool....relax guys
2 effect Columbine- most of you may know about the so called "Columbine effect" which is basically something that said that after the whole media after Columbine, mass shootings got a whole more media and more connection to this specific case, having more then 50 another schools shooting referring Columbine as their 'inspiration',but not just it,they also talk about how many people ended up in rabbit holes about suicidal thoughts, and violence and all of it,people like Sol, Samantha etc etc....well...do I believe in Columbine effect?yes,do I believe Eric and Dylan ghost gonna follow people ass and whisper for them to commit mass murder and killing themselves?no I don't.
3-more ahead in the video she talks about a 13y girl who allegedly was part of TCC and she ended up commiting suicide, okay I have some opinions on it,I don't think a online community have the power to took anyone life, but I do think a couple of mental and social problems can,so the thing is,I don't think this poor child did was she did cause she saw a dead school shooter and thought 'damn I need to do that' a lot of thing must be going on in her head,so in parts I don't think TCC has nothing to do with it,but us as society?we definitely do
4-Sol pais was a threat to Columbine?no she wasn't,as far as police reports tell us, Sol just had the plan to took her own life, and she did,I don't see the reason to blame a mental unhealthy 18 year old girl for something she didn't even done, she didn't harm anyone but herself
In conclusion I did got her point of how mental unstable some people here can be,some of them really plan do bad stuff, one of the people I met In 2022 did, another some months after,so I do get what she tried to explain,AND in some parts I do agree with her,no,no columbine or true crime relate content should be expose to kids, and no,no one with a mental health problem should go down such a downfall, but, honestly, most people I met here are the sweetest most cool people I ever met,I think most of them just got interest in them as people, both of the boys are human as everyone else, with lives, family's and shit, just like everyone else,so does the victims, and I don't condone what they did in any way,and never will, but I feel sorry for someone so young ended up being a victim of themselves.
So here is my opinion, sorry for the big post, and you guys feel free to share your points of view, love you all🤍
Ps: I don't think she was disrespectful at any point at her video,I just really don't understand the whole point of TCC antis, cause I think you're free to like whatever you want as long you're respectful (I know some people aren't) but don't think anyone should be disrespect for dress differently or like something

He's gonna do it. He has to. What if he misses his chance? You already love him.
You just don't know it yet.
But the entire day at the office, someone steals your attention away. There's always someone standing at your desk, asking pointless things, chasing you around like a slave for things that could've been a fucking e-mail. Why do you need to go and copy something for Yaerin when she's got to working legs?
Maybe if she didn't wear those high heels she constantly trips in she would be able to do her job correctly. Or maybe she's simply a viper, trying to work you down until you burn out, unable to offer this place anymore of your energy. She's done it before. She'll do it again.
People like her disgust him. She's rotten to the core, especially considering how she constantly soils the office seats in the meeting room with her disgusting perfume every time she fucks another one of the higher ups in there. He knows it's happening, has walked in on her and a CEO once- and while he told her that her secret was safe with him, he really only did it to have something up his sleeve if he ever needed her for something.
Does that make him just as rotten as her? Maybe. But all is fair in love and war.
He can't help but fidget at this point, watching how you clearly try and stay nice to a coworker currently attempting to convince you to go drinking with everyone after this shift. You don't like karaoke, you don't even drink in social settings because it makes you anxious- Jungkook knows these things.
He would never ask something of you that you're not comfortable with- he'd take you out for your favorite fast food instead to eat it in the car while listening to crappy pop-songs on the radio. That's what you love.
You've mentioned it before. And he never forgets those things.
Who's that man to you anyways? He can sense the tenseness in your muscles as the guy leans on your table, clearly taking up space and showing that he's not going to leave anytime soon- and Jungkook feels his anger grow inside his chest. You don't like this guy. He needs to get him away from you.
"Uh- Steven, right?" Jungkook meekly asks, the man's face snapping to him with an annoyed smile.
"Yeah. What's up kook?" He jokes as if they're best buddies.
They're not. Jungkook couldn't care less if the guy died in a ditch.
"I think Yaerin wanted to talk to you about something being wrong with the calculations for last month?" Jungkook stammers, needing to uphold his image. And also, he can't help it- his emotions make him quiver a bit, muscles unable to stay still as he rubs his hands. "She said it's urgent." He presses.
That's actually only half a lie. It's not urgent- but that whore did want to talk to him about something. There probably won't be much talking involved except maybe a command to take his dick further down her throat- but Jungkook doesn't care what they do. The only thing he does care about is that he fucking leaves.
Which he does, finally, making Jungkook take in a deep breath as he watches the man walk off.
"Thank you so much." You say behind him, and when Jungkook turns around to look at you, you're gazing at him with such warm eyes he feels his trembling body levitate on nothing but thin air. Everything's alright again- if he could look at you like this for the next years of his life, he'd thank every god in existence for it. "I have.. a hard time telling people no." You sigh, running your hands over your face.
"That's.. that's fine." Jungkook nods, a little awkwardly, smiling back. "I'm not that.. good at it either." He chuckles, and you laugh along, already feeling a lot better.
"Do you.. uhm.." You look at your keyboard for a second before you lick your lips- is that new lipgloss you wear? Or did you eat something that stained them? Jungkook isn't sure, but he wants a taste. "Do you wanna.. grab a drink or two after work with me?" You wonder, rushing the sentence out, and Jungkook's lips part a little, eyes round and open as they stare you down with their boba-pearl charm.
"Uh- yes! Yes, sure!" He nods, closing his mouth, before he pats his pants, looking for his phone. "W-wait, I'll uh- I'll give you my number!" He rushes out, writing it down with trembling hands on a sticky note, before offering it to you, who smiles shyly.
"Alright!" You nod. "I'll.. see you tonight then?" You ask, and Jungkook nods, entire body set aflame.
"Tonight."
•━━━━━━━━━━•.♡.•━━━━━━━━━━━━•
He fucked up.
He fucked up.
He fucked up.
He's pacing in front of your door because you surely know. You had to have found out- there's no way you didn't. The moment you texted him, he knew you knew-
because he gave you the wrong number. In his panic, he gave you a number you already have.
Is the police on its way? Did you call the cops? Or another friend maybe to beat the shit out of him? You must be terrified, creeped out to no ends, and he can't blame you. What the hell did he even do? This isn't right.
"Jungkook?" You ask, ripping him out of whatever panicked episode he was going through, wild eyes staring at you who's looking at him with an unreadable expression.
It's quiet as you stare each other down, tension able to be cut with a knife for a good while, before you speak.
"You could've.. just said something." You mumble, and Jungkook isn't sure what you mean. There's a variety of things and situations this sentence could apply to- and he doesn't want to out himself if he's not caught yet. If there's just a simple chance of getting away with it, he will take it. "Do you... like me this much?" You ask, and he's swallowing thickly now.
You clearly want an answer, but he doesn't know in what context. What is he supposed to say.
"I mean, I knew something was off when.." you explain, playing with the strings of your hoodie as you fumble with your words. "When.. I wasn't scared." You admit.
"Because it was you all along."
His entire body grows cold, veins freezing over as he gets his confirmation. You know. You know, and you're probably going to tell him next that you've already asked for a restraining order-
Wait. What do you mean by you weren't scared?
"Do you want to.. come in with permission this time?" You ask, trying to lighten the mood, but he's confused. This isn't the reaction he thought he'd get.
"I-" he starts, stammers. "I'm sorry." He presses out. "I don't.. I just-" he fails to find appropriate words because he really doesn't know why he's like this. He knows it's a problem, he knows he's sick- it's obvious, that little sane part of him is aware of the pure wrongness of his actions up until now.
"I know." You say, nodding, before you step aside to let him inside.
"I can't." Jungkook denies. "I can't- I shouldn't, I'm not- don't let me in, don't ever let me in-" he worries, unsure what's wrong with him now. Is this what realization feels like?
If that's the case, he wants to go back to insanity, because this is torturous.
"Its fine." You reassure. "You're.. I'd really hate to see you leave right now." You deny, offering compassion. "You're not well right now." You say, and he agrees.
But he's never been well ever since he met you almost a year ago.
He'll never be well.
"You're too.. you shouldn't. I might hurt you." He explains in a hurry.
"You won't." You deny. You're not sure why you're so convinced about it- maybe because he's had the chance to hurt you so many times and didn't. Or maybe because you're so lonely that you'll take this love no matter how tainted it is.
"Please come inside." You ask once more.
And slowly, with great hesitance, does he enter your home, painfully wringing his hands as if to keep himself occupied.
"When my mom had a brain stroke, years ago, she changed a lot." You explain, walking in to fill up two glasses of water before you set them on the coffee table in the living room area, sitting down on the couch right after- inviting him.
He takes the invitation. His eyes sting with unshed tears.
"She suddenly hated me. Hated almost everyone." You remember. "The doctors said that it can happen. That if we.. injure just a tiny little specific part of our brains, our whole personality changes." You retell, and Jungkook listens, unsure where to look now.
He's been here before, but he's never seen the apartment with the lights on.
"But we still got along until she passed." You nod. "She went to therapy, and reconnected with me and her old friends." You say.
"I'm.. I think I know what you're suggesting-" he says, before he puts his face in his hands. "But I don't want to." He denies.
"Why not?" You worry with a soft tone. "Jungkook, you're not a bad person. You just need help." You offer.
"But what if my love for you is just mental illness?!" He yells out, panicked, eyes now leaking tears. "I don't want them to kill that. I want to stay- I want to stay sick if it means that I still love you.." he weeps, looking at you with desperation.
"Then we'll rebuild it." You shrug easily. "I'll make you love me again." You say, and Jungkook breaks.
"C-can I touch you?" He whimpers from the other side of the couch. "Just a bit?" He wonders, and you nod, opening your arms.
Welcoming him, because he's not a threat or a danger or a monster.
He's just a little sick.

Intro Post
Sup, Rotumblr! Its ya boy, the criminally underrated Pokemon Rights Activist here! (I kid. Mostly)
The name's Jared, and I'm currently roaming the regions, hoping to spread the good word about how bad competitive Pokemon Battles are. They are a terrible practice, and I hope someday my words and action helps Pokemon around the world to escape this suffering that has been normalized for too long. Figured a Rotumblr would be beneficial to that cause as people across the world can see my posts
My bio says Trainers DNI, as I morally disagree with being a registered trainer, however, I am willing for people to break this DNI if they want to engage in honest debate. Don't break this DNI under the guise of debate if you intend to troll, I already deal with trolls and bullies enough in the real world when I do my preaches in public
Aside from my usual preaching the truth, I also occasionally post my Pokemon friends and just the mundanes of daily life. Hope people enjoy reading what I say! (OOC under the cut)
Hi Rotumblr! My name is Peter (He/It), and my main account is @/JaredTheBC! PokeJared is my most used Pokemon OC, so I figure it would be fun to try joining Rotumblr! I'm very new to Tumblr RP, so apologies if I get something wrong!
Just as a disclaimer. In my fan universe, PokeJared is written as an antagonist, and is canonically an annoying and harsh hypocrite. I do not condone like, the VAST majority of his actions lol, anything bad he says is in the context of a flawed fictional character and isn't my own words
In terms of names. In universe, his name is Jared, but when I'm talking about him OOC, I tend to refer to him as PokeJared since my name irl is also Jared. He isn't a self insert, he started off that way but he quickly became his own character. I do ask if people refer to me the person to call me Peter, just to avoid confusion
Hope people enjoy this blog! Posts may be slow as I'm very forgetful lol

In the post about the time after exam in tags you wrote that Snucius, Snumbledore and Snacgonagall show that Snape is inclined to "cave in" in his relationships with people. Could i ask you to elaborate on what points to that in Snacgonagall dynamics?
The fact that they seem to have quite a good relationship per se. I've never thought they were particularly close friends, or had any parental dynamics going on (this is a Snumbledore thing), but they have frenemies vibe, respect each other's decisions, and generally have a rather chill workplace rivalry. But Minerva is the person who'd ignored Marauders bullying Severus for seven years (the reason James stopped hexing people for fun was Lily, not adult intervention, and we know he'd never stopped bullying Snape). I don't think anything suggests she acknowledged that she'd wronged Severus in his studying days since to stop the bullies under her direct supervision was her primary responsibility (her's and Slughorn's as Slytherin head of House, towards whom Severus doesn't seem to hold resentment either, he even lets Slughorn hug him). Minerva still talks about James like he was a great amazing person, and while it's possible to like someone yet disagree with their actions of course, we don't see at any point that Minerva was aware how wrong was what James did. I don't think she's the type to know and condone the worst cases like SWM – but she is quite the type to ignore it.
It's also unclear if she'd known about the Prank, I mostly think she didn't, and Albus kept that as secretive as possible, but if she did, then it's worse. Just reblogged a post about the bullying probably escalating after the Prank and complained about Albus not ensuring that the victim, who was dehumanised to an extent of his life being devalued, wouldn’t expirence any further endangerment of his life and safety. Sirius thought that killing/severely harming Snape was a thing he could pull out and go unpunished, and he was proven right to an extent! Would he stop? No! If Minerva had known about the severity of the situation too, and still ignored it for two more years, this is a criminal level of negligence, honestly, even for Hogwarts. But I'm not saying she 100% had known, there's not enough info for that.
As someone who actually tends to hold grudges (not only towards people who SAed me and traumatised me and never apologised and actually keep mistreating me whenever we meet) – I'd be way more hostile to Minerva on Severus' place.
didn't know what "cave in" meant, googled it, found it's a way to refer to masturbation😭😭😭 but on a serious note, I think it's more about Severus forgiving people rather than "complying" to them. he is pretty stubborn and would stick to his opinions (like about Dark Magic being a great thing to study), but he would put great effort into relationships important for him, wouldn’t be offensive or enforcing to people he values unless under *extreme* stress, and he doesn't actually hold grudges towards those who don't openly treat him like absolute garbage. and the thing is, I don't think anyone had ever apologised to Severus, even though a lot of people really owe him one. and he is super petty and revengeful? please. this man doesn't know he doesn't deserve to be mistreated unless the mistreatment is a literal violent crime.

Evil, But Lame
(Why I dislike Leighton more than Bailey or Whitney)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
DOL Character Analysis/Comparison (sort of)
Disclaimer:
This post contains Degrees of Lewdity (DOL) content and spoilers, as such sexual themes and violence. No minors allowed.
Please don't take the listed explanations below as 'excuses' for criminal behaviour. I am not defending or condoning the actions done by these fictional characters.
Also, the sprites are just the result of me fucking around Character Viewer + bad edits.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Everything and everybody sucks in DOLville (or my other favourite nickname - Rapechestershire), but in my books, Leighton deserves a special mention.
This dastardly disgusting failure of an educator cultivated within me a personal vendetta and now I always make it a point to antagonise them and make them the butt-monkey in all my playthroughs. The reasons are as follows:
They love to power-trip and lord it over students and teachers alike.
Their demeanour is so slimy. Compared to two other ‘villains’, he’s all gross but no substance (at this rate, their personality can be used as mediocre lube).
Bailey (the main villain) is impassive and mostly fearless, and Whitney (the school bully) is sometimes so over-the-top that it comes across as theatrical (which makes sense - they’re putting on a show for their gang and the nearby audience) that I don’t take them seriously (most of the time).
I currently have minimal info on Leighton’s backstory, but I have yet to see a ‘sympathetic’ reason for their actions and behaviour.
Leighton's victim count is high and he has been blackmailing/molesting students for decades, and it’s not a stretch to say that he’s probably a big reason why so many adults (Spoiler: D) in town are also traumatized or fucked up.
He revels in the current power structure and town dynamics, while Bailey (implicitly) and Whitney (explicitly) acknowledges how fucked up everything is.
Also, here’s a comparison (again, I only included Bailey and Whitney as these are the two ‘antagonistic’ characters I have the most interactions with):
Vs. Bailey
Bailey’s motivation is primarily money. They will blackmail you (among other things) for profit, whereas Leighton will blackmail you to satisfy his lust and ego.
I can respect Bailey's character (not his actions 😭) -  they’re callous and ruthless, but they’re also strong and reliable. Personality-wise, I like that they’re impassive, calculating, and dangerous, fitting for the overarching villain. Bailey generally won’t regard you lustfully, unless you go out of the way to do so (cough Troublemaker cough). While steep, their payments do have a cap. Also, I personally believe they dislike orphans who play it safe to gain money because they themselves got their hands really dirty to make money (like the PC, potentially).
Defeating Bailey is also incredibly difficult...because they're impossibly fit and tenacious.
Leighton is petty (they will retaliate if you blackmail him), weak-willed, complacent, (his computer is easier to break into and he easily gets distracted by his own lust), and a serial molester (with a high victim count and long track record - it’s not a stretch to say that he’s probably a big reason why so many adults in town are also fucked up).
Defeating Leighton is way easier and he’ll throw a lame insult at you afterwards.
In terms of administration, I dare say Bailey’s better at running the Orphanage than Leighton running the School.
Spoiler: IIRC, Bailey was also an Orphan, he made the Orphanage better since the last caretaker, and he also has debt. I believe the money they collect from the orphans goes into that debt.
Vs. Whitney:
There’s little revealed about Whitney’s actual motivations but their demanding and bullying behaviour is most likely because of their personal circumstances, the need to gain status, and maintain the approval of their gang. In the most sympathetic light, they’re a neglected teenager who thinks being bigger and badder is the best way to protect themselves in a shitty town. Private moments (esp as an LI and w/o his gang’s influence) show they can be rather responsible and capable of showing concern for the PC.
By contrast, Leighton is an adult authority figure who perpetuates systematic abuse and currently shows no sign of remorse as this helps to keep themselves in power. With their backstory unrevealed, they’re just a pervert who likes preying on the young and vulnerable. They either view you as “Oh, you’re still here?” or “I’m gonna have my fun with youuu”🤮
As shown in some Whitney scenes, Leighton still has some sort of control over Whitney (they give Whitney lighter punishments in exchange for keeping other students in control, and even Whitney won’t refuse a summon from the Headteacher) and most likely has the means to harshly punish Whitney if they’re not useful to them anymore.
You can make Whitney pay for their crimes or retaliate against them, but Leighton, as a major figure in town, can easily get off scot-free (in most cases).
While Whitney will pimp you out (which I hate, they're my primary LI ffs, I really hope this improves in future updates), you can escape some encounters (if you have high Athletics or they have Low Dom) and he mostly does so for the money (they even split the profit with you in one encounter lol). Leighton will force you to have noncon sex (with other students or a freaking dog) as a punishment.
Tbh, both are bad: Whitney can also force you into noncon but they can be fought off easily and they often do so in the spur-of-the moment if you defy them (please don't interpret this as excusing this unhinged behaviour), but Leighton plans their attack, coerces multiple students, and records it for blackmail, which I think is more damaging to multiple parties and harder to navigate (game-wise).
Honestly, Whitney, if left unchecked and goes the criminal route, can probably end up similarly like Leighton (abusing power), but I imagine they’d be more dangerous and calculating as an adult (more similar to Bailey, but cockier).
And if you guys are interested, here’s what I’ve done as revenge so far 😈:
Overpowered him (as a Tiny MC) during his spanking detentions with an audience
Humiliated him and made them cum (Feat: Leighton’s Nightmare)
Eloped with someone else during the aftermath of their card game victory
Pegged them and took their butt v-card (in their own words: “Yes! Make me your strap-on bitch!”)
In progress: Sending him to the Pillory during the Police Infiltration quest
In conclusion: Leighton is a slime ball, currently has no sympathetic reasons for their behaviour, and is an old pervert with an ego. I also like picking on them but I have to say, my initial vehemence for them has now softened into petty annoyance (possibly even grudgingly fond).
If you read up to here, bless you. Gotta go make cream buns now.

how’s synthesis’s relationship with everyone, including all heroes she canonically works with + heroes she doesnt?? also !! is she a fan of / related to lucio, considering her hero name?
This is gonna be a long post, so everything will be under the cut!!
However, I will politely correct one thing; Synthesis is male!! Uses he/him pronouns.
Anyway, onto how he feels towards every Overwatch hero that is currently out!!
Green means positive, Red means negative, and Purple means mixed!
Ana: "She's an amazing sniper! I didn't spend much time with her during my stay in Blackwatch, but I admire her greatly. If we ever cross paths, I hope we can talk a bit."
Ashe: "A known criminal isn't a friend of mine. I'd never condone her actions, but I don't wish anything more than for her to be brought to justice. Serve her time, and hopefully move on."
Baptiste: "He's a good guy! Extremely kind, charming, and funny. He's done some things he's not proud of...but so have I. Hopefully I can be like him someday, where I'm forgiven...mostly..."
Bastion: "While I was cautious of him when I first met him, I've learned better. He's a sweet guy, wouldn't hurt a fly...well, that's not exactly true, but you know what I mean."
Brigitte: "She's a good person...tries her best, does her job. We don't talk much, but I don't get the vibe that she hates me. Her dad scares me though."
Cassidy: "He left me for dead...but at least he was more reluctant to do so. Haven't seen him around much, so I can't say I forgive him just yet. It's...it's really complicated..."
D.VA: "She's cocky, but for good reason. She does her job well, even if it means risking her own life. Can't say I agree with how reckless she can be. Also she keeps beating me at video games..."
Doomfist: "He's part of Talon. There's not much good to be done from that organization. He'll face justice soon...hopefully."
Echo: "She's sweet. Curious, but not reckless. I don't see us having much in common, but she's a good ally. I wouldn't want her to copy me though..."
Genji: "Another old acquaintance who left me in my time of need...but he's definitely changed. He seems apologetic, but it's been too chaotic to get a verbal apology from him."
Hanzo: "I don't know much, other than he's related to Genji. If they're anything alike, I'd have some trouble getting along with him."
Hazard: "He's definitely..something. We have very different opinions on Overwatch...I don't know how close I could get to him."
Illari: "Poor girl...just..poor girl. She needs help, someone to guide her...but I'm in no position to offer that. Nor do I expect her to accept it..."
Junker Queen: "She scares me. I don't ever want to run into her without backup. She's got a wild look in her eyes..."
Junkrat: "A bomb-obsessed, compulsive liar with horrible posture...not to mention he has no clue when to shut up. I'd rather not be on his side."
Juno: "She's definitely naive, but can I blame her? No. If I was raised on a completely different planet, I'd find everything fascinating. She's sweet, though."
Kiriko: "She's fighting the good fight, but with not so good means...sounds familiar. But her snark could definitely be lowered. Tired of the sass.."
Lifeweaver: "He's doing what he can with his reputation...but I believe he's good. He's definitely charming, even if he doesn't realize it sometimes. I get flustered just thinking about him..."
Lúcio: "Funny, reliable, kind-hearted, protective...he's a great guy! He struggles, I know he does, but who doesn't nowadays? At least he's keeping a smile on everyone's face. Can't say I light up a room like he does."
Mauga: "Talon agent, cocky, and thinks he's a real heartthrob. I don't like him. At all."
Mei: "I feel so awful for her...how she stays so positive, I have no clue. I appreciate her, though. Very sweet, very thoughtful."
Mercy: "She saved my life. Without her, I'd be dead. She did everything she could to help me. I owe her big time..."
Moira: "She used me, lied to me, hurt me, and tried to leave me for dead. She made the call that left me suffering. I want nothing more than to pay her back for everything she put me through."
Orisa: "The defender of Numbani herself! She's a wonder. I am curious about her creator, though. I've heard she's really young...and if she is, she's a force to be reckoned with. Just like Orisa."
Pharah: "What Ana did to her sucks, but I have no right to comment on it. I did something similar to my own loved ones. Pharah is admirable. I don't know if she'd wanna talk though."
Ramattra: "He's the face of Null Sector right now. I don't know his point of view well, but I'd be willing to listen to his side...if he didn't, y'know, tear me apart first."
Reaper: "He didn't even try to help me. I guess everything else was overwhelming, but...to join Talon like he did is unacceptable. He needs to pay the consequences of his actions."
Reinhardt: "He's loud and tough for how old he is. But I'd be a goner without him nearby. He's saved me more times than I can count, and I hope I've done the same for him."
Roadhog: "He's a criminal...but that's about all I know about him. He's pretty quiet. It's uncomfortable.."
Sigma: "He's part of Talon, but...I don't think he realizes what he's doing. No doubt Moira is behind this...I wish there was a way to get him out of there."
Sojourn: "She's a good woman. Good morals, good skills...we didn't talk back in the day, but she's a hero in my eyes."
Soldier 76: "We pulled the same stunt, somewhat. Not really dying, going rogue with a new name...but I'm at least not hiding from my past."
Sombra: "She is terrifying. She knows everything about me, and could blackmail me at any time. She holds so much power, but uses it for Talon..."
Symmetra: "From what I know, Vishkar isn't the best...it's definitely something I wouldn't be apart of. I don't exactly know her stance on them, but she's got better places to go."
Torbjörn: "He's great at what he does, but his temper is crazy. I swear, he'd hit me with that hammer of his if he could reach me."
Tracer: "She's a strong woman...even with her regrets, she makes sure to keep positive. I wish I could do that."
Venture: "They're a goofball, but in a good way. Hopefully I can get closer with them. They seem nice."
Widowmaker: "She's cold blooded. Moira got her hands on her, and there's nothing I can do to help. I have to help take her down, for her sake and everyone else's."
Winston: "He's a big reason I'm able to get my second chance...without that recall, I'd still be wallowing in my regrets and mistakes. I owe him."
Wrecking Ball: "He gets on my nerves, but I guess he's alright. Again, with these cocky allies..."
Zarya: "She and I view omnics very differently. I hope she learns to think differently, but I know I can't change her mind on my own."
Zenyatta: "He definitely is wise. He has a lot of great advice, and many times knows exactly what to say when I'm in my own head. I heard he helped Genji too..."

I'm just asking for advice. I'm a classic rock fan but I also have moral OCD. Do you know how I can cope with my favs being terrible people?
hey anon, I wonder why you thought of me for that question? 🤨 lol just kidding! I got that, don't worry.
Well, I didn't know that moral OCD existed, but I'll try to tell you what I did and I try to do to live with it. I'm not sure if this will help you, it's very personal and varies from person to person.
It's very difficult, but ignoring or not acknowledging what they did wrong doesn’t help. It only makes you a hypocrite and a person without a conscience. On my blog there are countless accounts of Mick Jagger being a petty, sexist jerk and David Bowie being an ungrateful bastard with zero regard for the woman who helped launch his career to success. If you know what they did wrong not only are you protected from those who might try to shame you for ignorance, but it also shows that you care enough to recognize what they did wrong because you know that was wrong.
No one is 100% bad or 100% good. I'm sure there are good reports of positive experiences with the singers you are a fan of. The world is not black and white with good guys and bad guys, people are much more complex than that. You can admit that these people are not all bad. Again, there are quotes from people on my blog who have said good things about Mick. There are no monsters, only people. I know it's hard to acknowledge this and I had a hard time doing it too.
(X) <- please read me!
I know consensual sexual relationships with minors are the worst thing classic rock fans have to deal with (along domestic assault). It was immoral. It was wrong — completely wrong and I’ve cried over it. But at the time, there were no strong legal protections for minors, and in many places, it wasn’t even considered a crime. That doesn’t make it right (far from it), just shows how flawed society was. Our generation see it for what it truly was: predatory, inexcusable, and something we could never condone.
Yes, you can judge them as they deserve based on your current morality, but that doesn’t change the legal reality of the time. While we now recognize how unacceptable this behavior was, the law is not retroactive, so they cannot be prosecuted under modern standards for actions that were not illegal at the time.
This is how I feel, each person can feel the way they want and I'm not saying that what I'm saying should be taken as absolute truth, but this is me: I like Mick Jagger; he slept with underage groupies, morally wrong and I hate that, but he's not a criminal. If people regardless of this think that he is, based on their morals and their current country laws, it's fair, but I live following my own conscience and my own convictions.
In the end, I'm so aware of the sexism and everything bad and I can only continue to deal with it because it's not something that I'm always reminded of, you know? I don't know how to explain it, I guess I try to ignore it — for the sake of my sanity — but I never allow myself to truly forget. I can only momentarily forget.
If my brain constantly reminded me that Mick hit on a woman on his wedding day or fucked a babysitter in the house he lived in with Jerry Hall or that David Bowie alienated his son from his mother, I wouldn’t even be able to look at pictures of them. I was very sensitive about it (it disgusted me. It still does.), but the pain has lessened, although it is no less disgusting. Basically, the feeling never goes away, you just learn to live with it.
I'm not sure if this helped you out of any fear, but my DMs are always open if you want to talk more about this. You can also find me on discord: .viserra
Good luck!

I have been thinking about your no kill rule post and how Batman is criticized for it. I wonder if it is because he is deeply passionate about the no kill rule, but not under every writer.
In Batman: The Hill he says to Gordon over him feeling bad about killing a black 14 year old: "Don't be sorry. That boy was armed and dangerous. He died trying to commit murder."
Batman: The Hill only came out in 2000, only 5 years before Batman: Under the Hood which isn't a huge number of years when it comes to comics. In Batman: Under the Hood he screams in horror at the death of Captain Nazi and slices his son's throat to protect the Joker.
Jason is not a Bat at this time so it becomes why is the GCPD killing black teenagers okay but Red Hood killing white supervillains not okay. Captain Nazi was trying to kill them at the time. The Joker is a mass murderer. What makes the killing of these people less defensible to Batman?
The Doylist answer is arguably different writers but the Watsonian is him holding his kids to incredibly high standards compared to Gordon and the GCPD. He's not even upset with Gordon but he will beat Jason over this stuff (RHATO 25 (I think)). (and yes Batman was nearby when the kid was shot in Batman: The Hill)
My interpretation of Batman comes down to this: Batman won't kill. He will never condone killing. I've never read the comic you mentioned (and from what you've mentioned I don't think I ever will), but I cannot see Batman telling someone that it was fine that they killed, especially a child. It goes against everything he stands for. Batman is about rehabilitation and second chances and especially about helping the downtrodden. For him to comfort Gordon over killing a child, someone who probably is not a hardened criminal, is grossly against everything he stands for.
I don't think Batman has separate standards when it comes to his kids and Gordon. If he truly thought that it wasn't a big deal if the GCPD killed people, Batman wouldn't exist. One of the reasons he decided to become Batman was because the police force was corrupt. So, for him to excuse Gordon's actions is OOC. Maybe he takes it a little more personally when a kid of his does something like that, but his rule is very consistent across the board, and he will not comfort someone who killed by saying it's fine that they did it, especially if it was a child.
In my most generous interpretation, I don't think Batman would beat Gordon up about it, especially because Gordon is already regretful of what he did, and Batman believes in second chances. The thing with Jason is different because Jason wasn't regretful, he was actively trying to kill the Joker, and Bruce had to stop him. But for Bruce to say that the kid had it coming? That's wildly OOC. It goes against everything he stands for. This is the man who brought the Joker back to life because he was so strongly principled. There is no way he would stand there and say that shit about the death of a 14-year-old.
The Watsonian explanation for this is pretty much non-existent imho. Sometimes, the only explanation is the writers and that's it. I mean, Batman is no stranger to having writers who have wildly different interpretations of him side-by-side. Look at Frank Miller who, during the time when Batman was actually kind of lighthearted, decided to shit out the edgelord fantasy that was the Dark Knight Returns. I personally blame Frank Miller for everything that is wrong with Batman's characterization today. There is no way to reconcile that with the characterization of Batman that existed at the time, even if it wasn't exactly in the main continuity.
For characters like Batman who have existed for years and have had a variety of different writers, some of whom have shitty opinions about Batman and in general (Frank Miller), sometimes there are going to be stories that are so wildly OOC that you can't reconcile with the character. This seems like one of them.
Thank you for your ask!

PREFACE: this is just MY OPINION on some takes I've seen. This is meant to call out some team black fans who take things way too far and bully people, but I will not condone any kind of bullying or harassment in the comments. We can disagree, we can discuss our disagreements, but what we're not gonna do is bully or threaten people, okay?
Okay.
That being said, this is a friendly reminder that the Targaryens invaded a land that WAS NOT THEIRS then proceeded to take the things that they believed they had a divine right to through force and violence (aka their dragons, which are a metaphor for the weapons of mass destruction used in real wars). This is literally a metaphor for colonizers. GRRM wrote the dance of dragons as an anti-war commentary and made it clear that the Targaryens thinking that they're a divine race who are entitled to do whatever they want at the expense of the common man is a HORRIBLE WAY OF THINKING and this has gone completely over some of yall's heads.
Look, you can like whatever characters you wanna like for whatever reason! Nobody in HOTD is truly a good person, so there's no point in real people fighting with each other over it. But I'm tired of watching team black fans who justify their choice by saying this very thing proceed to bully and harass not only team green fans, but even the team green ACTORS because they don't like what the CHARACTERS did. Like, what happened to all of them being bad people?? And why call REAL people names, harass them, and even threaten them just because of what these FICTIONAL CHARACTERS did????
If it truly doesn't matter who you support because "they're all bad people", then why are you harassing REAL PEOPLE just because they don't like the same war criminals you do? "Both sides do bad things", so what moral high ground do you have over team green fans? One person on here said that some of y'all act like you're actually part of House Targaryen and it's true! If the Targaryens were real people who actually did these things, y'all defending them so staunchly would be worrying to say the least!
I love Aemond as a character, and I can understand his motivation for killing Luke, but I'll never defend him killing Luke because at the end of the day, children getting killed is unexcusable NO MATTER WHAT. I don't want to watch anything horrible happen to Rhaenyra's children any more than I want to watch Blood and Cheese happen to Helaena and her children. I love team green because I think they're interesting characters that I see a lot of myself in and I think that their actions make sense for the time period and circumstances they live in. However, I also look at their actions through a modern lens and would never condone some of the things they've done in real life.
Posting this bc I'm tired of seeing team green fans get called hypocrites while the people who claim to be feminists/progressives worship characters who represent the TOTAL OPPOSITE of feminism without a second thought. I'm tired of seeing certain fans make shitty takes saying that Alicent doing bad things "wouldn't be a problem if she would just own up to it!!", when team black fans go out of their way to justify Blood and Cheese and every other bad thing that their favs do.
Once again, keep the comments civil! if you start bullying or threatening people you're getting blocked and reported :)
